Presence

The centerpiece of the installation (Stage) is the movement of the body. The installation becomes active when a body enters the space and moves within it. Using a surveillance camera and a custom-written code in the Max 8 program, which manipulate audio and video through the use of the camera and light, a multisensory work is created. How much the viewer can influence the installation usually becomes apparent only after some time.

The way a body interacts with the space or installation depends on various factor such as size, shape, and movement. The speed and intensity of movements also influence the installation, creating a unique experience for each viewer. The projected image merges with the surrounding architecture, resulting in a distinctive rawness. The boundaries between the digital and the analog world blur.
